Sofia Khorobrykh

Pianist, pianoteacher and musicologe Sofia Khorobrykh was born in 1971 in Kirov (Russia) and lives since 1996 in Würzburg (Germany). Sie received her piano education at the renowned St. Petersburg State Conservatory, studying with legendary Prof.

Vladimir Nielsen and continued her education at the Hochschule für Musik in Würzburg with Prof. Glen Wilson (Department „Historical Instruments“, Specialisation „Pianoforte“).

Sie completed her artistic examination and got a Konzertdiplom as pianist, studied at the same time musicologie on the Julius-Maximilians-Universität in Würzburg and became „Magistra artium“. Now sie performs in Germany and Russia, makes CD recordings and is engaged as pianoteacher. Her repertoire ranges from the baroque to modern music.
